Newly converted three bedroom barn in Stiffkey, near the North Norfolk coast

Newly converted three bedroom flint and brick barn with views over nearby water meadows in the village of Stiffkey, just a mile from the North Norfolk coast and ten miles from the town of Holt with all its amenities

A traditional, brick and flint Norfolk barn situated in the centre of the pretty coastal village of Stiffkey, Norfolk.

The barn, which is attached to the neighbouring cottage, has been recently converted and provides well-proportioned living space at first floor level with vaulted ceilings and views towards some of Norfolk’s most attractive rolling countryside.

The conversion exhibits a number of fine features; the double glazed casements and ledge and brace doors have attractive wrought-iron furniture, the principal bathroom is luxuriously appointed with Travertine tiles and a roll-topped bath, there are granite work surfaces throughout the kitchen, and the radiators (run by an oil fired central heating system) are of a traditional design.

STIFFKEY is situated in a valley next to the river of the same name in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just one mile inland from the beautiful North Norfolk coastline and 4 miles from both Blakeney and Wells Next the Sea.

Stiffkey Marsh is one of the oldest salt marshes along the Norfolk coastline and is an important wildlife habitat, as well as a popular destination for both ornithologists and ramblers with the Coastal Path running through it. The village is renowned for its ‘Stiffkey Blue’ cockles which are still plentiful at low tide. The village offers a post office and store, a well-respected pub and the Stiffkey Lamp Shop.

The Georgian town of Holt is about 10 miles away and has a comprehensive range of shopping and other facilities and is home to Greshams School, a renowned co-ed public school. The nearest regional centres are King’s Lynn and Norwich, both of which offer a direct rail link to London (about 100 minutes).
