Borgue is a small village situated approximately five miles south west of Kirkcudbright. The Parish of Borgue, including the rural hinterland, has a population of about 350 and the village itself about 250.

Kirkcudbright, known as the ‘Artists Town’ is situated on the Solway Coast which is located approximately ten miles west of Castle Douglas, 28 south west of Dumfries and approximately six miles south of the A75.
