I am a carpenter by trade, builder by profession and as such I am offering project management and / or a consultation service from conception to completion, or any stage within these parameters, including advice during planning, costing, programming and visualisation. My current project is a barn renovation on a private estate, converting five barns into a single dwelling of 3,500sqft, which includes internal garaging for three cars. The property is set in five acres of land consisting of gardens / orchard, paddock, woodlands and ponds, surrounded by stunning West Sussex countryside. I would be very enthusiastic to assist an owner developer looking for someone with experience and drive to project manage and work "hands on" on their development. I have a good spread of building skills from joinery, to roofing, underfloor heating, to tiling. I also have an extensive contacts list, with an emphasis on traditional skills, and sensible pay rates. I have a degree, and a level 4 diploma in house inspection which gives me a good back ground in house design / contruction types / materials / planning requirements / building control expectations / thermal efficiency / eco measures etc. I am easy going ,and would be quite prepared to assist in the planning and costing of any project. I believe the bottom line in most developments is cost, and towards that end I have many creative solutions to high quality work and finishes at a reasonable cost and would myself be prepared to work at very reasonable rates. I have extensive photographs of past work, and also can provide letters of refernce from past customers.
