Parrandier, The Old Church of Urquhart is a church conversion, tastefully redesigned to provide comfortable accommodation on two floors with a special ambience throughout.

The church building dates back to 1843 and is a B-listed building. The bell tower still has the original bell produced in Whitechapel, London. Still in use, it is now connected to a clock and sounds automatically . . . or, if you wish, you still can ring it the old-fashioned way with the rope!

Parrandier has been running since 1998 as a very successful 4-star B & B business with an additional self-catering apartment. Evening meals are also offered and the business benefits from both an alcohol license and a wedding license.

Location

This beautiful converted church is situated in a superb rural location amidst farmland and forests in an area best described as "Malt Whisky Country". Set just half a mile from the village of Urquhart it enjoys open, uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside.

The church is approximately five miles to the east of the county town of Elgin (Scotlands smallest and friendliest city) and is close to both the Grampian Highlands and to the white sandy beaches and dunes of the Moray Firth where dolphins are frequently spotted.
