1830 Timber Frame Barn
This barn was built circa 1830 in New York State by settlers from New England, migrating to what was then the New World frontier.
All of the posts, beams, girts and rafters were hand-hewn with broad axe and adze. The wind braces were sawn on a water-powered mill.
The timbers were cut from the virgin forest and are of massive dimensions. The top and purlin plates are forty feet long, and are cut from one piece. The front to back tie beams are massive 10 inch by 13 inch beams.
All of the joinery is hand-cut mortise and tenon. The frame is in excellent condition and has been fumigated for insects.
We have floor plans available to convert this barn into a unique home.
We will ship the frame to you overseas and stand it on your foundation for the price listed.
Take advantage of this great price and the exchange rate and live in a piece of frontier history. This price does not include local taxes.
