Within the village there are local shops and public houses. For more extensive shopping requirements Tring is approximately 1.5 miles, Wendover 2.5 miles or the larger town of Aylesbury 3 miles and Watford 16 miles. The A41 Bypass ¾ mile provides access to the M25 at Junction 20 travel time 15 minutes.

Mainline railway stations to London Euston from Tring and at Wendover to London Marylebone, both approximately 36 minutes journey time.
